Sharjah24: Al Hamriyah Sports and Cultural Club (AHSCC) proudly hosted on Saturday the 2nd edition of the Sharjah Clubs Preparatory Swimming Championship. A total of 196 swimmers took part in the event, representing clubs from Al Hamriyah, Sharjah, Dibba Al-Hisn, Al Dhaid, Mleiha, and Al Bataeh, under the supervision of the Sharjah Sports Council.
The championship saw the presence of several distinguished individuals, such as His Excellency Hamid Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club; Sultan Al Shamsi, General Secretary; Salem Al Khayal, Board Member and Head of the Individual Sports and Talent Development Committee; Jassim Al Dookhi, Head of the Individual Sports Department at the Sharjah Sports Council; and Hassan Al Toumi, Swimming Specialist at the council. Thamer Al Shamsi and Hamid Obaid Ghadir, who serve as Supervisors of Individual Sports at Al Hamriyah Club, were also in attendance.
Al Hamriyah's team proudly claimed the championship trophy, achieving a remarkable total of 57 medals, which included 31 gold, 20 silver, and 6 bronze. Al Dhaid finished in second place, with Mleiha rounding out the top three in third place. Hamid Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club, conveyed his gratitude to the Sharjah Sports Council for selecting Al Hamriyah to host the championship for the second consecutive year. He highlighted the event's role in enhancing the performance of swimmers from Sharjah clubs and preparing them for the new season.
