SDPW celebrates International Engineer's Day

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW) marked International Engineer's Day with a special panel discussion entitled "A Distinguished Journey and Promising Visions." A recent session gathered new engineers from the department with a group of experienced engineers, focussing on enhancing intergenerational communication and nurturing emerging engineering talent.
The session focused on sharing experiences and insights regarding the present and upcoming challenges in engineering, emphasising the crucial contribution of engineers to sustainable development initiatives throughout the emirate. Best engineering practices and the latest technologies utilised in project implementation were also topics of discussion.

Aisha Bajash, Senior Public Relations Executive at the department, emphasised the significance of the initiative in her opening remarks, highlighting its role in developing the skills of new engineers and boosting their participation in Sharjah's ongoing development projects.

Engineers Maitha Al Dhabahi, Humaid Al Suwaidi, Ahmed Al Hamoudi, and Hussain Farouq Al Awadhi discussed their experiences within the department, highlighting their roles in managing significant projects across various divisions. Ahmed Masaad from the Public Services Department served as the moderator for the discussion.

The Sharjah Public Works Department has organised this event as part of a series of initiatives aimed at improving the engineering work environment in the emirate, while also motivating engineers to innovate and achieve excellence in their fields.
