Sharjah 24: His Excellency Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, Director General of the Real Estate Registration Department (RERD) in Sharjah, announced the signing of two memoranda of cooperation with the Municipal Councils of the cities of Kalba and Al Dhaid, under which electronic services will be provided to inquire about real estate data, as part of the digital transformation strategy in the Emirate of Sharjah, with the aim of facilitating and simplifying procedures for real estate sector customers in the two cities.
His Excellency Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, Director General of RERD, stated that the department signed two memoranda of cooperation with the Municipal Councils of the cities of Kalba and Al Dhaid, under which electronic services will be provided to inquire about real estate data, as part of the digital transformation strategy in the Emirate of Sharjah, with the aim of facilitating and simplifying procedures for real estate sector customers in the two cities.

The memorandum was signed by His Excellency Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, Director General of RERD; His Excellency Dr. Obaid Saif Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Municipal Council of Kalba; and His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Abdullah bin Howaiden Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Municipal Council of Al Dhaid, in the presence of His Excellency Abdul Aziz Rashid Al Saleh, Director of RERD in Sharjah, and a number of officials.

Al Shamsi added that this memorandum comes within the framework of allowing the Municipal Councils of the cities of Kalba and Al Dhaid to view and inquire about the real estate data of the persons inquired about, through the electronic service (Web Service), where customers in the two cities will be able to extract a certificate of benefit from the property directly from the Municipal Council building in each of them without the need to visit the Department building in Sharjah.

The Department will also provide a detailed explanation of how to use the system for the Municipal Council in both cities, each of which authorises whoever it deems appropriate from its officials and employees, and grants them the authority to submit requests to inquire electronically about properties, after notifying the Department of the names of the authorised persons.

His Excellency Abdul Aziz Ahmed Al Shamsi stated that signing this agreement with the Kalba and Al Dhaid Municipality Councils comes within RERD ongoing efforts to facilitate procedures for all real estate sector stakeholders in the various cities and regions of the emirate. It also comes within the digital transformation strategy adopted by the department to achieve digital integration between all entities operating in the real estate market.

Al Shamsi added that RERD have previously signed similar agreements, and today the department is concluding this cooperation with “Kalba Municipality and Al Dhaid Municipality” to achieve electronic connectivity with various cities in Sharjah.
