The panel discussion was presented by First Lieutenant Alia Wahid Al Serkal, Director of the Learning Affairs Branch at the Human Resources Department at SPGC, and was attended by several female employees of government departments and agencies in Sharjah.
The discussion addressed a number of prominent topics, namely, the importance of celebrating Emirati Women's Day for Emirati society, the most prominent challenges faced by Emirati women in their professional and personal careers, and the impact of government policies and national initiatives presented by the UAE in enhancing the role of women in society. It also reviewed some personal experiences and success stories of Emirati women who had a significant impact on the progress of the UAE.
The panel addressed the importance of supporting and encouraging the new generation of Emirati women to achieve their ambitions and goals. It also touched on the steps that can be taken to improve the work-life balance for women in the UAE, as well as the role of society as a whole in supporting and empowering women and enhancing their participation in all fields.
It concluded with the most essential messages presented to Emirati women on this occasion. At the end of the panel, the floor was opened for discussion for the participants, raffles were held, and special gifts were presented to the attendees from the Radisson Resort Ras Al Khaimah, Marjan Island, Ritz-Carlton Hotel, and Al Hamra Hotel in Ras Al Khaimah as participating entities in the Waffer Discounts Programme.
On Emirati Women's Day, Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Member of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) and Chairman of SDHR, said that day reflects the sustainable investment in people that the UAE leadership has made since the beginning. He added that Emirati Women's Day reflects the ongoing efforts to create opportunities to support the pivotal role of women and enhance their effective contributions in all aspects of life, which will result in establishing the best enabling environment for Emirati women to draw an inspiring global model for leadership, renaissance, and development.
Al Zaabi concluded by saying that Emirati women have confirmed their developmental roles through their influential fingerprints in the life systems in which they contribute, such as family, society, leadership, and business, to shine with merit in all their roles, creating an eternal glory that Emirati women have been proud of throughout the ages.
