The Sharjah Self-Defence Sports Club hosted the event, and the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation oversaw the participation of five hundred athletes from fifty-two nations. The Sharjah Sports Council supported the event, which took place at the Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club.
With a total of 44 medals—21 gold, 14 silver, and 9 bronze—Sharjah Self-Defence Sports Club took first position. With a total of 32 medals—6 gold, 13 silver, and 13 bronze—Fujairah Martial Arts Club took second place. Third place went to Shabab Al Ahli Club, who collected 20 medals (5 gold, 7 silver, and 8 bronze).
Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Self-Defence Sports Club's Board of Directors; Humaid Hassan Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club's Board of Directors; Dr Yasser Omar Al Doukhi, Director of Sports and Community Events at the Sharjah Sports Council; and a distinguished group of sports leaders were among those in attendance at the honour ceremony for the Sharjah Club.
