Sharjah 24: Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Rahim Al Hammadi, Head of the Innovation and Future Foresight Department at Sharjah Police General Command, met with Dr. Suhail Dahdal, Head of the Public Communication Department at the American University of Sharjah (AUS). Captain Horia Al Zarouni, Director of the Future Foresight Branch, and Corporal Marwa Al Hosani from the same branch also attended. They discussed potential collaborations to engage students in sustainable future security projects.
The meeting covered the Future Foresight Project in security, which involves university students developing future scenarios as part of their graduation projects. This provides them with practical experience to apply their academic skills in a real-world setting, boosts their involvement in promoting security culture, and raises security awareness within the student community.
Lieutenant - Colonel Al Hammadi emphasised Sharjah Police’s commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and future foresight. He highlighted that the General Command is dedicated to strengthening partnerships with educational institutions, effectively developing youth skills and raising their awareness. He noted that youth are crucial to community security and play a key role in advancing progress, aligning with the UAE's vision to excel globally in all areas.
Dr. Dahdal expressed his enthusiasm for the productive collaboration, highlighting the AUS’ commitment to strengthening partnerships with institutions and government agencies, particularly the Sharjah Police General Command. He emphasised the university’s dedication to supporting students and harnessing their abilities to achieve shared goals.
