Sharjah24: The Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation successfully completed its summer program, catering to 264 children and guardians. The program, strategically held during the summer break, aimed to optimize this timeframe for the benefit of the children, aligning with the Foundation’s vision, objectives, and future initiatives for sustainable empowerment. This approach is consistent with the state's pursuit of the sustainable development goals.
The Social Welfare Department's Director, Nawal Al Hamdi, mentioned that the Foundation is committed to offering beneficial summer programs to its children every year. These programs aim to help kids gain knowledge and skills, have fun, and develop their talents. The activities are designed to suit different age groups and cater to the specific needs of the children. The goal is to make the most of their free time during the summer break, address any behavioural or emotional issues, and empower them in various areas.

According to Al Hamdi the goal of involving children in summer programs is to achieve significant outcomes by providing them with a system of skills to achieve self-confidence, and emotional release, develop capabilities, refine their personalities, achieve better use of their time, enhance the educational and cognitive aspect, satisfy their creative passion, and release their energies in everything useful. This also focuses on instilling positive behaviours and values, contributing to the integration of their personality and raising the level of empowerment in various areas according to studied standards for orphans.

The Foundation values cooperation with various departments, entities, and centres in the emirate and their continuous efforts to involve children in their programs and activities during the summer. These initiatives aim to support fatherless children who need care and attention. This reflects a shared responsibility to work together and provide noble social services to fulfil important hopes and goals.

The Foundation has started the "Sand Al-Bayt" project, which includes practical workshops to help children develop important life skills and learn how to support their families. The workshops have been helpful for 107 youngsters and 42 mothers. The mothers also have separate seminars to learn more about the project and what to expect in the future for their families.

89 people took part in clubs and summer activities organized by government agencies in Sharjah, like the Friends of the Police program in collaboration with the Sharjah Police Science Academy. The program included various activities, such as lectures, workshops, training, sports, and awareness programs.

The maritime navigation program teamed up with several organizations in Sharjah to make it more inclusive. They included the Sharjah Cultural Chess Club, the Sharjah Arts Institute, the Sajaya Center, Quran memorization centers, and the Sharjah Maritime Transport Academy in the program to provide a diverse range of activities for children. Some of the kids also took part in the summer camp at the public libraries of Sharjah, where they learned about different subjects, arts, sports, and crafts.

The Foundation held a special course on Personal Marketing and Excellence Creation, which helped 51 young men and women. Mr. Majed bin Mohammed Al Marzouqi, an experienced international marketing trainer from Saudi Arabia, led the course. During the course, the participants learned about the art of marketing, how to manage the marketing side of projects, and the proper way to handle project content and services. The course provided valuable insights into project management and how creativity and development are key to achieving success in marketing.

A class on the fundamentals of small projects was taught by two successful female entrepreneurs, Hadiya Ali Al Zaabi and Maryam Suhail Al Khaili, from the Odila Community Company. Their goal was to equip 30 members with essential and innovative skills needed for successful project management and entrepreneurship.

13 children have been involved in a program that helps them learn and grow professionally. This program is part of the Foundation's efforts to prepare orphans for jobs and improve their professional skills. The children are getting practical training and experience in various workplaces to help them in their studies and future careers.

The Foundation recently held a "Home Organization" workshop in collaboration with Home Harmony, a company that specializes in home organization services. The workshop helped 32 people learn about interior design basics and how to take care of and organize their homes. Participants were introduced to simple and effective methods for creating a comfortable and harmonious atmosphere at home. They also gained skills to organize their homes and create a more comfortable and pleasant living environment by getting rid of clutter.

The summer programs were a big hit with the kids! They were really excited to attend and showed a lot of energy and enthusiasm. The workshops were a big hit, and it's clear that the program was a good match for what the kids were interested in.

The institution received great feedback for providing vocational training to children. The kids had the chance to learn and work in different departments, gaining valuable experience. They impressed the staff with their responsibility and dedication to their work.

The summer programs are designed to promote partnerships and community unity by including orphans. The Foundation works with local authorities and various organizations in Sharjah to ensure that orphans can participate in a wide range of summer activities and programs.

The SSEF looks after orphans living with their extended families in Sharjah and surrounding areas. They work hard to take care of these orphans and make sure they have a good life by helping them become independent in education, work, and life in general.
