Sharjah24: The Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation is dedicated to advancing sustainable development goals, including ensuring quality healthcare. Recently, in partnership with Al Jaber Optical, the foundation provided eye exams to 215 guardians and orphans across Sharjah, the Central Region, and the Eastern Region.
Nawal Al-Hamdi, Director of Social Prosperity Management, commented: "The Health Empowerment Programme is a key part of our sustainable initiatives. We are committed to delivering effective services in collaboration with medical sectors to support the health of our members and provide appropriate care. We recognised the need among some orphans and mothers for vision care and medical accessories. Thus, we continued our collaboration with Al Jaber Optical this year to offer essential eye exams and medical consultations. This effort helps alleviate the financial burden of treatment for guardians and provides them with necessary health support through partnerships with relevant sectors."

Ahmed Jaber Belshalat, Executive Director of Al Jaber Optical, added: "We are delighted to partner with the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation for the third consecutive year to provide eye exams to the foundation's guardians and orphans. This collaboration underscores the role of the private sector in supporting community services and aiding those in need within the country. Our contribution involves offering eye exams and free glasses through Al Jaber Optical’s mobile eye exam bus. As a leading Emirati optics company, Al Jaber Optical is committed to supporting all community segments, which are crucial for the development of the UAE."

The joint efforts of individuals and organisations in supporting the foundation’s programmes reflect strong community solidarity. This collaboration is vital for fostering positive change and aligns with the shared goals of focusing on orphans and empowering them as a significant part of society. It contributes to sustainable development by highlighting their talents, innovative ideas, and contributions to their community, ensuring a dignified life for them and their families.
