The meeting was attended by Her Excellency Mona bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Foundation; a delegation from the Foundation’s management and employees; His Excellency Saeed Matar bin Hamid Al Tunaiji, Chairman of the Committee; members of the Committee represented by His Excellency Abdullah Al Badawi Al Hosani; His Excellency Abdullah Maaden Al Ketbi; His Excellency Abdullah bin Tarish Al Kaabi; His Excellency Muhammad Al Alawi Al Dhahouri; His Excellency Humaid Obaid Al-Hamoudi; His Excellency Dr. Hind Al Hajri; in addition to the presence of Her Excellency Halima Al Owais, Vice President of the Council; His Excellency Ahmed Saeed Al Jarwan, Secretary-General of the Council; and Her Excellency Hoda Al Hammadi, Secretary of the Committee.
During the visit, the committee was briefed on the nature of SSEF work, the institutional performance of activities and sponsorships, and all of the efforts exerted in caring for orphans in the Emirate of Sharjah. The Foundation’s experience in serving its members was reviewed through a presentation highlighting the most important projects presented to serve an important group in society, namely orphans, within the framework of strengthening joint cooperation to serve and advance the humanitarian aspect. It also introduced the most important challenges facing the institution in providing its services.
Her Excellency Ms. Mona Bin Hadda Al Suwaidi stated that the meeting is important in discussing ways of joint cooperation between the Council and the Foundation in a way that serves the common good of orphans, which contributes effectively to the growth and development of humanitarian and social work.
Her Excellency Ms. Mona Bin Hadda Al Suwaidi added that during the meeting, the efforts made and the services provided to the Foundation’s members, including orphans and guardians, were introduced. She confirmed that the achievements reached today are based on the comprehensive vision drawn up by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, stemming from his wise vision and his unlimited interest in providing the means for a decent life for every human being on the land of Sharjah, and paying attention to all segments of society in the emirate without exception.
Al Suwaidi continued that SSEF institutional vision highlights leadership in the sustainable empowerment of orphans and their families, charting a new path towards comprehensive development for orphan families, and the Foundation is keen to provide a distinguished and enabling environment to care for orphan families and improve their situation for the better.
Al Suwaidi affirmed that the Foundation’s programmes aim to empower orphans to be a good citizen capable of supporting himself and his community, in addition to developing and refining their abilities, and empowering them in all aspects of empowerment adopted by the Foundation, and to using purposeful methods to deal with orphans while preserving their dignity to build promising and leadership personalities.
At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation praised the efforts provided by the Foundation in the field of caring for and rehabilitating orphan children, and expressed their appreciation for the social and psychological support and all aspects of empowerment provided, and the advancement of humanitarian work. The visit included addressing some inquiries and discussions related to the Foundation’s work and aspects of cooperation, which will help orphans and meet their needs.
The meeting comes within a series of meetings organised by SCC for a number of government agencies, which contributes to increasing cooperation and coordination and discussing frameworks for joint cooperation to serve humanity in the Emirate of Sharjah.
