“Sahara Centre Indoor Run” attracts 400 participants

Sharjah 24: The first edition of the “Sahara Centre Indoor Run”, held on Sunday, August 4, at the Sahara Shopping Centre, and organised by Sharjah Sports Council (SSC), saw great success with the participation of 400 competitors, including 95 children under 12 years old.
The event came within a series of summer community sports events encouraging community groups to practice sports continuously. 

The event was attended by Ahmed Ali Al Salman, Acting Director of the Sports and Community Events Department; Youssef Al Hosani, Executive in the Department; and Ali Al Azawi, Operations Manager at Sahara Centre. The event was held in cooperation with Alqudra Sports Management, Sahara Centre, and a number of sponsoring and supporting entities.

The results of the race were as follows:

In the 8km race for men, first place was Guido Grace, second place was Mohsen Al-Hitmi, and third place was Bernard Mongi. For women, first place was Yuko Iriguchi, second place was Rania Lahsini, and third place was Prudence Masiki.

In the 4km race for men, Ibrahim Al-Khazraji came in first place, Godfrey Siegel came in second, and Youssef Taghlawi came in third. For women, first place was Aya Al-Juwaini, second place was Reslin Quarto, and second place was Estella Domanto.

In the 1km race for boys, first place was Tariq Al-Ali, second place was Hammad Al-Sabry, and third place was Majid Al-Rustami. For girls, first place was Shawq Ahmed, second place was Al-Ghala Al-Shehhi, and third place was Manal Al-Tansha.

In the +8 years race for children, first place was Tariq Al-Ali, second place was Hammad Al-Sabry, and second place was Suleiman Al-Kutbi. For girls, first place was Shawq Ahmed, second place was Ghala Al-Shehhi, and third place was Manal Al-Tansha.

In the under 7 years race for boys, first place was Musabah Ahmed, and second place was Saqr Al Shehhi, third place Mohammed Al Faghli, and for the girls, first place Dania Kamal, second place Hala Karim, and third place Hessa Al Tunaiji.
