The project aims to support and empower orphans and their families through sustainable endowment mechanisms that ensure the continuity of giving and meet the needs of members over the long term.
SSEF participation in the exhibition aims to inform the public about the project, highlight its positive social impact in promoting community solidarity, and provide an opportunity to connect with interested parties and invite them to contribute to supporting the endowment project.
In this regard, Mona Bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Director General of SSEF, stated that the Foundation is proud to be part of this valuable international event, which reflects its commitment to strengthening its societal role. The “Prophet’s Neighbours” Endowment Project represents a pioneering model of sustainable charitable work as it allows the Foundation to provide a vivid picture of the impact of the endowment in improving the lives of children without parental care and their families. Through this participation, SSEF seeks to promote a culture of solidarity among members of society and encourage everyone who would like to contribute to be part of this blessed project.
Al Suwaidi affirmed that the wise vision and unlimited support of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, were the foundation for SSEF achievements and projects aimed at empowering fatherless children and caring for their lives. This reflects His Highness's continued interest in building human capital and creating a bright future for the emirate's people.
Al Suwaidi added that His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah has given great attention to the "Prophet's Neighbours" endowment project, and was the first to contribute to it. This sets an inspiring example for the community in terms of giving and generosity, and reflects His Highness's pioneering vision of utilising endowments to serve humanitarian and social causes." She noted that the ‘Prophet’s Neighbours’ endowment project is one of the pioneering endowment projects of the Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation, and is based on the idea of creating a permanent and sustainable source of support for orphans and their families.
The entire proceeds of the endowment project go towards the support and empowerment programmes provided to the Foundation’s members, with the aim of providing children with their basic needs in terms of education, health and livelihood, in addition to supporting them psychologically and socially, empowering them environmentally and qualifying them professionally to enhance their independence. It qualifies them to face life’s challenges with confidence. The project also provides the opportunity for every individual or entity to contribute to the endowment, so that the project becomes a permanent benefit in sustaining the reward for the entire community.
Al Suwaidi concluded that SSEF confirms that every contribution to this endowment is an investment in building strong generations capable of facing life's challenges for fatherless children. The Foundation is keen to participate in important cultural fora across the UAE as part of its efforts to spread the culture of humanitarian work and enhance community awareness of the importance of social solidarity, in line with the Foundation's vision of achieving sustainable care and empowerment for its members.
