Al Dhaid Club concludes its summer activities

Sharjah 24: Al Dhaid Cultural and Sports Club concluded its summer programme, which was held as part of the Sharjah Sports Summer activities, supported by the Sharjah Sports Council, under the theme “Our Holiday is Different.”
It targeted the youth and young people, and included educational workshops, scientific, heritage, sports and cultural visits, in addition to fun scientific competitions and games.

The ceremony witnessed a remarkable attendance and wide appreciation from the parents of the participants in the summer activity programme, in which more than 120 participants participated, as they benefited from the activities presented during the past period at the club’s headquarters, which included sports, culture, science and entertainment.

The celebration began with the national anthem, followed by a speech by Salem Mohammed bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Dhaid Club, in which he spoke about the activities and that they focused on investing the time of young people and discovering and nurturing talents.

He thanked all the staff for their efforts in serving our participating children throughout the activity period and thanked the Sharjah Sports Council for its support for this summer programme.

Then, Muhair Obaid Al Khayal Al Tunaiji, Administrative Director of Al Dhaid Club and Chairman of the Organising Committee for the Summer Activity, presented the various activities and programmes that were held according to the events of each week, which were held throughout the month and included visits, recreational games, and dialogue meetings about Al Sanaa and falconry, a visit to the Camel Club, and the volunteer work carried out by volunteers at Al Dhaid Date Festival.

He also referred to the positions achieved by the club within the Sharjah Summer Sports Programme, where it achieved first place in the Water Games Championship held at Al Hamriyah Club, first place in the Athletics Competition held at Al Madam Club, and second place in the Fitness Championship held at Al Dhaid Club under the patronage of Sharjah Sports Council.

This was followed by a segment of interactive questions on culture, heritage and sports, then popular games, most notably tug of war and chairs, which witnessed an atmosphere of joy and interaction from the participants.

For his part, Khalifa Dalmouk Al Ketbi stressed the importance of interaction from children in the initiatives held under the patronage of Sharjah Sports Council and thanked the work team.

Salem Mohammed bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Dhaid Club, Humaid Abdullah Balsadriya Al Khatri, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Dhaid Club, and Malik Musabah Al Ketbi, Member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Marketing and Investment Committee, in addition to the participation of Saif bin Dalwan Al Ketbi, Member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Strategic Planning and Institutional Excellence Committee, and Muhair Obaid Al Khayal Al Tunaiji, Administrative Director and Chairman of the Organising Committee for Summer Activities, honoured the cadres who participated in organising the programme from supervisors and trainers.

The honouring also included the supporters and cooperating entities, Al Dhaid Municipality, Al Wusta Channel, University of Sharjah, the winning teams in the competitions and championships, and the distinguished talents who were discovered during the summer activity and those committed to attending and participating in the Biggest Winner Initiative, which was well received by the parents of the participants in the initiative, Al Dhaid Club volunteer team, who were recently approved in the Volunteer Platform for Social Services, was also honoured.
