Al Dhaid Club hosts Central Region Fitness Competition

Sharjah 24: As part of the "Sharjah Sports Summer" activities, Al Dhaid Cultural and Sports Club organised a fitness competition for clubs in the Central Region. This event was integrated into the second week's "I am an Athlete" programme, aimed at fostering young people's sports skills and discovering new talents.
Sponsored by the Sharjah Sports Council of the Sharjah Government, the competition saw enthusiastic participation from clubs such as Mleiha, Al Batayeh, Al Madam, and Al Dhaid, highlighting high levels of competition and remarkable performances.

The fitness competition, a part of the "Sharjah Sports Summer" activities, offered a valuable opportunity to enhance the sports skills of young people and identify new talents in the Central Region. It aimed to encourage healthy competition among participating clubs, improve athletes' fitness levels, and promote teamwork and discipline. By organising such events, Al Dhaid Club contributes to creating a motivating sports environment that aligns with the Sharjah Sports Council's vision of building an outstanding and healthy sports generation.

Dr. Yasser Omar Al Doukhi, chairman of the supervising committee, highlighted the competition's importance in utilising young people's skills and attracting sports talents. He mentioned, "This competition provides a fantastic opportunity for young people to showcase and develop their sports skills. Our aim is to cultivate an outstanding sports generation." He also expressed gratitude to Al Dhaid Club for their organisation and innovation.

Salem Mohammed bin Huwaiden, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Dhaid Club, expressed his thanks to the Sharjah Sports Council for their ongoing support of sports, cultural, and community activities, which help in building a healthy and athletic generation. He added, "We take pride in organising such events that elevate the status of sports in our community and aid in the development of young people's skills."

The competition results saw Al Madam Club achieving first place, followed by Al Dhaid Club in second, Al Batayeh Club in third, and Mleiha Club in fourth. At the closing ceremony, Salem Mohammed bin Huwaiden and Dr. Yasser Omar Al Doukhi honoured the winners by presenting them with trophies and medals amidst a celebratory atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and appreciation for all participants' efforts.
