Al Dhaid Club hosts youth forum as part of “A Holiday Reimagined”

Sharjah 24: Al Dhaid Club, in cooperation with Al Wusta Youth Council, organised a youth forum bringing together a group of young people from the Central Region as part of "A Holiday Reimagined" programme.

The event aimed to strengthen direct engagement with young people, listen to their views and aspirations, and empower them while reinforcing their role as active partners in development and shaping the future.

The forum opened with a welcoming address by Dr Mariam Obaid Al Shuwain, Vice Chairperson of Al Wusta Youth Council, who stressed the importance of providing dialogue platforms for young people that encourage them to share ideas and initiatives which serve the community and reflect their aspirations.

The event was attended by Salem Mohammed bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Dhaid Club; Rashid Abdullah Al Mahyan; Malik Musabah Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Marketing and Investment Committee; Saif bin Dilwan Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Planning and Institutional Excellence Committee; and Muhair Obaid Al Khayal Al Tunaiji, Executive Director of the club, along with parents, supervisors and organisers.

Representing the Federal Youth Authority were Jasim Al Obaidli, Director of the Youth Interaction Department, and Halima Al Darmaki. Also attending on behalf of Al Wusta Youth Council were Huwaiden Mohammed Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Council, and engineer Saif Al Naddas, a Council member.

The forum highlighted the role and objectives of youth councils, reviewed key youth opportunities and initiatives, and discussed the needs and aspirations of young people in the Central Region. Participants were also invited to share their ideas and suggestions, contributing to the development of community initiatives and strengthening youth participation in the sustainable development process.

Salem Mohammed bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Dhaid Club, praised the forum, saying it reflects the club's commitment to supporting youth initiatives, strengthening institutional partnerships aimed at empowering young people, and providing effective platforms for dialogue.
