Sharjah 24: Dibba Al Hisn Council, affiliated with Sharjah Department of Suburbs Affairs (SDSA), organised an extraordinary meeting, in the presence of a number of relevant government departments, with the aim of addressing the potential challenges that may be caused by the expected rains during the coming period.
The meeting saw the presence of representatives of a number of departments, namely Dibba Al Hisn Municipality, the Civil Defense, the Public Works Department, the Roads and Transport Authority, and the Social Services Department, in addition to the presence of a number of senior citizens.

The meeting, which was held on Wednesday, at the council headquarters, was chaired by Suleiman bin Jumuah Al Yahyai, Chairman of the Dibba Al Hisn City Council, and was attended by the Vice President and members of the council.

During the meeting, comprehensive preventive plans were discussed and developed, including identifying the locations of valley flows and water gathering points, in addition to developing proposals and plans to effectively deal with potential challenges.

The attendees discussed a number of visions and decisions that fall within the framework of dealing with weather conditions through maintaining and opening valley streams to flow into the sea, and the importance of working to complete the rainwater sewer network.
They also stressed the importance of developing cooperation with the Infrastructure Committee and the Emergency and Crisis Committee to discuss the paths of valleys in the neighbouring emirate and take into account their courses.

Suleiman bin Jumuah Al Yahyai stressed the importance of cooperation and coordination between the concerned authorities to enhance preparations and ensure the safety of society during the rainy seasons.
Al Yahyai thanked all citizens who expressed their willingness to support government efforts in this regard, and coordinate plans and developing proposals to enhance the readiness of the city of Dibba Al Hisn for the rains.
