Al Hamriyah continues its “Safe and Happy Summer” campaign

The campaign comes as a continuation of the efforts of Al Hamriyah Municipality in the areas of awareness, guidance, and enhancing public safety and security, implemented in its different public facilities during the summer, most notably Al Hamriyah Beach and the Beach Park, which are seeing heavy demand by all community groups, visitors and tourists.

The weekly activities of the campaign included many entertainment programmes and artistic, cultural and environmental workshops, expressing the marine environment and its importance in the biological system and environment, targeting visitors to Al Hamriyah Beach Park of different ages and societal groups, tourists and visitors of Al Hamriyah Sea.

His Excellency Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriyah Municipality, explained that the municipality is achieving its goals set for the “Safe and Happy Summer” campaign, by protecting the marine and coastal environment and enhancing the protection of biodiversity and sustainability of resources.  
His Excellency Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi pointed out that the marine and coastal environment receives attention due to its close connection to the culture of society and its economic, social and environmental importance.
Al Shamsi added that the campaign has allocated awareness stations in the beach park located on the shore of Al Hamriyah Sea, to introduce the roles of inspectors, and to download the awareness brochure electronically on mobile phones, by scanning the designated code, aiming to raise awareness of environmental sustainability issues.

Al Shamsi stated that the “Safe and Happy Summer” campaign impacted all visitors of Al Hamriyah Beach and the Beach Park, and shed light on issues of environmental sustainability, within the framework of supporting the efforts of the Emirate of Sharjah leading to an environmentally conscious society.

Al Shamsi pointed out the continuation of Al Hamriyah Municipality’s purposeful community initiatives, involving various segments of society and visitors motivating them to preserve the environment and adhere to public safety procedures while visiting Al Hamriyah beach. 
Al Shamsi pointed out the continuity of environmental and awareness efforts to reduce wrong environmental practices, and provide guidance during official holidays and vacations for all groups.
