Sharjah24: To harness the fertility of the central region's land, the University of Al Dhaid is hosting a student orientation day and introducing the new College of Agriculture.
Dr. Aisha Ahmed Bushalibi, Chancellor of the University of Al Dhaid , announced the launch of the College of Agriculture and the introduction of new academic specializations on the first induction day. She emphasized the university’s commitment to meeting the requirements of sustainable development and innovation.

She shared information about the first orientation day at the university, designed to introduce new students and anyone interested in the educational opportunities offered by the university. This event was an important chance for new students and those looking to join the academic community to learn about new majors and colleges, such as the recently announced College of Agriculture.

In an exclusive statement to “Sharjah 24”, Bushalibi confirmed that the new college at the university is the College of Agriculture, with its first semester set for 2024-2025. This initiative was made possible by the generous allocation from His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, who recognized the potential of the fertile land in the central region. The university also collaborated with the Royal University in Britain to develop the latest programs in modern agriculture.

The chancellor explained that the addition of these specialisations and colleges is part of the university’s effort to expand the scope of its academic programs. This is to meet the needs and expectations of students and society in general, support the country’s efforts in achieving sustainable development, and promote innovation in various fields.
