Sharjah24: Sharjah Charity International teams have started inspecting over 2,500 sacrifices within the country to guarantee their safety and ensure that they are free from any defects that would prevent them from being legally permitted for sacrifice. This involves thorough examinations concerning the safety of their eyes, nose, ears, mouth, legs, skin, and other factors related to the overall appearance of the livestock.
Khalil Ibrahim Al Hajj, Chairman of the Sacrifice Inspection Committee, stated that the inspection process is a crucial part of the association’s preparations for the sacrificial campaign. The committee is responsible for examining the sheep scheduled for slaughter to ensure their compliance with Islamic law and to verify that they are free from diseases and defects that would prevent them from being sacrificed. An experienced subcommittee called the "Inspection Committee," established by the Supreme Committee for the Campaign, is tasked with this examination process. Once the examination is completed, the sheep will be ready for slaughter during the days of Eid and then distributed to beneficiary groups registered in the association’s lists, in accordance with legal distribution controls for the sacrifices.

The campaign is being implemented through three committees: the inspection committee is responsible for examining livestock, the slaughterhouse committee oversees the transportation and supervision of the slaughtering, cutting, and processing process inside the slaughterhouse, and the distribution committee is concerned with delivering the sacrificial meat to deserving individuals. Donations for the ritual of sacrifice are received through the website, smart link, bank transfers, credit card payments, and in-person donations at the association's headquarters or branches, or by calling the Hotline number 80014.

He explained that the association was eager to ensure that all workers in the campaign committees adhered to all precautionary measures during the examination process, such as wearing gloves and masks. He called upon those who wished to carry out the ritual of sacrifice to authorise the Association to slaughter and distribute their sacrifices on their behalf. This can be done by handing over the value of the sacrifice to the SCI through available donation methods. The SCI pledges to deliver the sacrifices to those who deserve it, particularly needy families and those with limited income, on time."
