Sharjah 24: The Chess and Culture Club for Sharjah Women’s (CCCSW) Players Council organised a workshop under the theme “Let’s Speak with Confidence” at the club’s headquarters, which was presented by player Fatima Saleh Al Balushi, a member of the Players Council, to the club’s members, and was attended by 20 participants from the coaches and players affiliated with the club.
The workshop aims to qualify the players for media appearances and the ability to speak with confidence in a way that befits the club, as well as the ability to talk about achievements and link them to society. The workshop also aims to activate the role of the Players Council in the club.

Najla Abdullah Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chess and Culture Club for Sharjah Women (CCCSW), confirmed that organising the workshop has many goals, foremost among which is activating the role of the Players Council, through a specific system and strategy aimed at serving the club. Adding that the workshop’s theme, “Let’s Speak with Confidence,” is very important, as players always need it to have the ability to interact with society, whether with the media or events and participate in them.

The workshop addresses many things that all female players need, especially the inability to talk to channels and the difficulty of dealing with the media. These are important matters for female players, especially in the case of participating in external tournaments, representing the country in foreign participation in all technical and administrative aspects, as well as dealing with the media in large tournaments such as the World Chess Olympiad.

Al Shamsi noted that one of the club's strategy goals is community interaction and linking the club to society through ongoing events and participation in events organised by other parties in order to promote and spread the game of chess among children and school students, and this is a role no less important than the role of preparing female players to participate in tournaments.
