Sharjah 24: The Kuwait Mind Sports Association hosted the First Gulf Rapid Chess Championship, where the Chess and Culture Club for Sharjah Women (CCCSW) won two medals (silver and bronze) and presented their victory to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
The club also thanked Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of Sharjah's Supreme Council for Family Affairs, for her unwavering support for sports in the emirate, particularly chess.

The Sharjah Sports Council, under the direction of Chairman Issa Hilal Al-Hazami, received gratitude from the club administration for their ongoing support and encouragement, which contributed to the club's players' consistent success.

The success of the two players in the Gulf Championship, according to Najla Al Shamsi, Chairperson of the Club's Board of Directors, was the result of joint efforts within a full framework that incorporates administrative, technical, and organisational components.

This accomplishment corresponds with the club's strategic strategy, whether it means competing in external championships, organising international events, or competing locally. The club's achievements and victories hold a significant amount of responsibility and serve as a tremendous motivator for all players to continue in the same good direction.

Alia Al Mazmi, the club's technical committee chairman and leader of the championship delegation, expressed her delight at the players' success in the First Gulf Championship.

She stated that these achievements are an extension of the team's previous victories both locally and internationally, since the club just won the women's league championship.
