Sharjah 24: Al Qasimia University (AQU), represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, and Sharjah Centre for Volunteer Work of Sharjah Social Services Department, signed a memorandum of understanding, within the framework of joint efforts and convergence of roles to serve the goals desired by both parties.
The memorandum of understanding would work to consolidate and enhance cooperation and serve bilateral goals benefiting from and developing volunteer opportunities.
The memorandum of understanding was signed at the university’s headquarters in Sharjah, by His Excellency Professor Dr. Sulaiman Al Sarayrah, Dean of Student Affairs at AQU, and Her Excellency Hessa Mohammed Al Hammadi, Director of the Community Cohesion Department in the Sharjah Social Services Department, in the presence of Her Excellency Professor Ahlam bin Jarsh, Assistant Director for Female Student Affairs
The memorandum stipulates coordination between the two sides and the active participation of volunteers from AQU students, providing them with skills to enhance social responsibility, cooperation in spreading the culture of volunteering in society through joint programmes, and contributing to organising awareness activities and programmes for community members.
The signed agreement called for cooperation between AQU and the centre in offering and managing volunteer opportunities and initiatives and expanding the scope of volunteer work to motivate students to volunteer in all fields.
