Sharjah Camel Racing Club holds its 5th regular meeting

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Camel Racing Club held its fifth periodic meeting, chaired by Mattar Ali bin Howaiden Al Ketbi, President of the Club, and in the presence of members of the Board of Directors of the Club.
During the meeting, agenda topics were discussed and reviewed, and many of the suggestions that were put forward to serve camel owners were also discussed. All construction works for the 4, 5 and 6 kilometre track and their equipment were discussed, and the lighting of the 8 kilometre track in Al Dhaid Square was discussed. 

The meeting addressed the issue of traffic accidents related to stray animals (camels), and the measures taken by the club to preserve the environment on the grounds of Al Dhaid Square for camel racing.

The club's reports and its work plan during the coming period were also reviewed, which aims to improve the services provided to camel owners and facilitate all procedures for participation in camel races and festivals organised by the club throughout the year.

His Excellency Matar Ali bin Howaiden Al Ketbi confirmed that the development and construction work in Al Dhaid Camel Racing Track comes under direct guidance and follow-up from His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, so that Al Dhaid Camel Racing Track becomes one of the best fields in the region, with international specifications. 

Bin Howaiden pointed out that the ideas and visions of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah influenced the camel racing sport at the level of the UAE and GCC levels, and created a qualitative shift that led to the great development it achieved over the past years.
