Friends for Diabetes reviews health projects in 1st 2024 meeting

Sharjah 24: Friends for Diabetes Association, one of the associations affiliated to the Health Promotion Department of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, held its first general meeting for the year 2024, in which it reviewed the work plans for the most prominent health projects and programmes to be organised during the coming period.
The meeting was attended by Her Excellency Khawla Al Hajj, Head of the Friends for Diabetes; Her Excellency Ms. Iman Rashid Saif, Director of the Health Education Department; Ms. Hessa Al Raisi, representative of the Ministry of Community Development; Ms. Fatima Al Mualla, representative of the Social Services Department; Ms. Khawla Al Hammadi, representative of the Social Services Department; Mr. Muhammad Muwafi, Representative of Abdullah Al Mulla Auditing Company; Dr. Elham Al Amiri, Vice President of the Friends for Diabetes; Sheikha Mona Al Qasimi, Secretary of the Friends for Diabetes; and a number of employees of the association.

Khawla Al Hajj began the meeting by welcoming the members, representatives of the Ministry and the attendees. She also extended her thanks for their support of the association. 

The activities report and the association’s budget were presented with the participation of the financial auditors, who in turn presented the financial report for the past year. 
It is worth noting that the plan of activities and health programmes was to achieve the directives and visions of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, is Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in the United Arab Emirates, where Al Haj appreciated the interest and keenness of Her Highness to provide full support and care to the Friends for Diabetes, so that it continues to provide and launch initiatives and projects, consolidating the concepts of healthy life for all members of society, and enhancing their health awareness of diabetes, its causes and symptoms.

For her part, Al Hajj expressed her thanks and appreciation to all the members and volunteers of the association, for the efforts they have made over the past years, in order to achieve the association’s goals and deliver its awareness messages to community members. 

At the conclusion of the meeting, development proposals were presented by the team members.
