Sharjah Private Schools’ students resume classes on Monday

Sharjah 24: Students and educational and administrative staff, in private schools, in the Emirate of Sharjah, will resume work, on Monday, after full recovery and Sharhah Private Education Authority’s (SPEA) oversight teams having finished inspecting a number of schools, ensuring their ability to receive students and completing repairs of any malfunctions that occurred as a result of the weather depression.
Private schools in Sharjah have demonstrated a superior ability to quickly and effectively switch to remote education in response to the decision of the local National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management (NCEMA) team, given the weather condition that prevailed in the UAE last week, which reflects the high efficiency and advanced digital infrastructure enjoyed by educational institutions in the emirate. 

Schools have continued to provide lessons to students using their digital platforms, confirming that they responded immediately to the decisions of the competent authorities, to ensure the safety of students and the continuity of the school day in accordance with educational plans.

SPEA had held a series of meetings with the concerned authorities, including school administrations, after announcing that the UAE would be affected by the weather depression, which resulted in the development of decisions and mechanisms that made them ready to deal with different scenarios, as they worked immediately after the start of the situation, and in effective communication with partners, to shift to distance education and follow up on all subsequent developments that resulted in the extension of e-learning to ensure the security and safety of all parties of the school community.

SPEA reported that the number of schools that adopted hybrid education during the past week reached 17 schools, 91 schools adopted remote education, and 20 schools adopted in-person education, after school administrations chose the optimal system according to their circumstances.

His Excellency Ali Al Hosani, Director of SPEA, said that the authority was in constant communication with the local NCEMA team, the concerned authorities and school administrations to reach solutions that guarantee the safety of students and the administrative and teaching staff. 
Al Hosani indicated that the speed of response demonstrated by all private schools in Sharjah, reflects the extent of its ability to use technology to ensure continuity of education and achieve the highest levels of educational performance, noting that these measures have contributed to enhancing the confidence of parents and students in the educational system.

Al Hosani extended his sincere thanks to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council of the Federation and Ruler of Sharjah, the supporter of the educational and scientific renaissance, and to all schools with their administrative and teaching staff, parents and students for their cooperation and commitment, which was reflected in the attendance rates. 
Al Hosani also thanked all governmental and private institutions that contributed in overcoming the effects of this exceptional situation, stressing that SPEA will continue to improve and develop the educational system to keep pace with the latest developments.
