Al Hamriyah Municipality intensifies efforts to deal with rainfall

Sharjah24: In response to the current rainy weather conditions in the country, Al Hamriyah Municipality has been fully mobilized and has started implementing a comprehensive plan to drain rainwater immediately upon its occurrence. This has contributed to containing the situation and minimizing the negative effects of the weather conditions.
The measures implemented by Al Hamriyah Municipality included a series of immediate operations to deal with the repercussions of the low-pressure system, aiming to mitigate the severity of damages and swiftly remove rainwater that accumulated in the streets and squares of the Al-Hamriyah area.

Mubarak Rashid Al-Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriyah Municipality, explained that all municipality personnel are committed to working around the clock to deal with the rain in all its intensities, according to pre-prepared plans to address both emergency and non-emergency situations. He noted that these efforts are part of Al-Hamriyah Municipality's constant preparedness to ensure the safety of citizens, residents, public properties, and infrastructure in the area. They reflect the municipality's firm commitment to providing the best services to the community under all circumstances.

Al-Shamsi further clarified that there was precise coordination among all municipality personnel and available machinery to accurately distribute teams and tankers to priority locations for rainwater drainage and to mitigate the negative effects of heavy rainfall. The operations were meticulously organized to ensure coverage of all streets, squares, and areas prone to water accumulation. Field teams were swiftly and efficiently dispatched to critical sites, and tasks were executed with proficiency in accordance with guidelines, technical standards, and safety regulations, resulting in the successful completion of rainwater drainage in the most affected locations.
