Sharjah 24: In line with Zayed Humanitarian Work Day, and to enhance the values of giving established by the late founding father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW), in cooperation with the Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD), distributed suhoor meals to workers in a nursing home, in addition to in-kind gifts, as part of the “Your Suhoor is on Us” initiative.
The implementation of these activities and initiatives is part of the efforts carried out by the SDPW, to reflect the spirit of giving and love that the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, instilled in the souls of the people of the UAE, and in line with the department’s strategies for social responsibility and enhancing communication between members of society.

The Institutional Communications Centre confirmed that the Zayed Humanitarian Work Day, is a day of fulfillment and allegiance to the lofty principles and noble values that were laid down and consolidated by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and which the wise leadership and the people of the UAE followed suit.

It added that the 19th of Ramadan of each year will remain an important memory to contemplate what the late great man provided, and gratitude for everything this unique leader did, and pride that we are in the homeland of giving, leadership, humanity, tolerance and goodness.

Amal Al Ali, Head of the Public Relations Department at the Department, said: “Zayed Humanitarian Work Day is a great national occasion, and we are keen to commemorate it by launching charitable initiatives, to complete the process of humanitarian giving, and this is what was implemented during the event, through which we seek to remember the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan."
