Sharjah 24: In a Ramadan initiative that embodies the highest meanings of giving and generosity, the Sharjah Charity International (SCI) announced the organisation of a huge group iftar for 5,000 fasting people, coinciding with Zayed Humanitarian Work Day. This initiative comes as an expression of the spirit of social solidarity in this holy month.
Abdullah bin Khadim, Executive Director of the Sharjah Charity International (SCI), reported the launch of the Iftar initiative for 5,000 fasting people, which coincides with Zayed Humanitarian Work Day. The initiative includes the distribution of a number of valuable prizes, including 50 tickets to perform Umrah.
He confirmed in special statements to “Sharjah 24” that this initiative aims to enhance awareness of the importance of charitable work and consolidate the values of giving and participation in society, and that the initiative seeks to revive the humanitarian spirit that distinguishes Zayed Humanitarian Work Day, highlighting that this day represents an opportunity to reflect on the values of goodness and giving that must prevail among individuals.
He added that this initiative comes as part of the ongoing efforts made by the SCI to support needy groups and strengthen social ties between community members.
