Sharjah24: Sharjah Charity International (SCI) has begun implementing a project to provide Iftar meals within the country, distributing 31,178 Iftar meals supported by generous donors. The initiative aims to assist low-income people and workers by setting up 143 tents in densely populated regions. The Iftar project is highly esteemed by contributors and is one of the primary projects of the Ramadan campaign, according to Abdullah Sultan bin Khadim, Executive Director of the Sharjah Charity International.
The Iftar meal distribution started at 143 tent sites, with 96 distribution stations and 47 more tents added at the request of donors.
Abdullah Sultan bin Khadim went on to say that there are 60 places in Sharjah city where meals may be distributed, 34 in the central region (containing Bataeh, Al Madam, Zayed, and their associated regions), and 49 in the eastern region (including Kalba, Khorfakkan, Dibba Al-Hisn, and their linked areas).
Bin Khadem stated that the association ensured the completion of all arrangements related to the Iftar project well in advance, as distributing nearly a million meals requires intensive efforts from the working teams.
Among the project's core humanitarian principles is the idea of building bridges across diverse social groups and making it easy for generous individuals to sponsor Iftar meals via established contribution channels.
Bin Khadem thanked everyone who helped make the Iftar initiative a success and who provided so many meals to the hungry and deserving employees and residents of the area. Simultaneously, he urged the charitable to keep giving so that the project's positive effect and benefits may lead to an increase in the number of meals delivered.
