During the meeting, proposals submitted by community members were reviewed to enhance services within the committee competence, in addition to supporting the economic efforts of different sectors and improving services based on SCC policies in strengthening its partnerships with institutions and community members.
The meeting was held at the Council’s headquarters in Sharjah, and was chaired by Mohammed Saleh Al Ali, Chairman of the Committee, and was attended by members of the Committee, Dr. Hind Saleh Al Hajri, Committee Rapporteur, Dr. Ruqaya Rashid Al Zaabi, Issa Abdul Rahim Al Zarouni, Ali Salem Al Shamsi, Ahmed Salem Humaidi Al Ketbi, and Khalfan Saif Al Musafri, in addition to Muhammad bin Salam Al Ketbi, SCC member, and from the General Secretariat of the Council, Sumaya Muhammad Jassim, Secretary of the Committee.
The Committee reviewed the tasks undertaken within the framework of SCC powers, both in the supervisory and legislative aspects, emphasising the Committee’s role in serving segments of society, within the framework of its integrated plans in the eleventh legislative term.
Muhammad Saleh Al Ali stated that the Committee believes in the importance of its role within health and social aspects, as it seeks to continue meeting the needs of society and enhancing its well-being.
Al Ali pointed out that the Committee will work hard to define and implement policies and programmes that promote health, work, and social care, in cooperation with relevant authorities and in close communication with the community, with the aim of improving the quality of life and achieving sustainable development for all in the Emirate of Sharjah.
