Sharjah 24: The scholars, honored guests of the State's President, were acquainted with the academic and research contributions of the Holy Quran Academy in Sharjah and its mission to bolster the UAE's stature, particularly Sharjah, as a cultural hub.
The guests commended the visionary efforts of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in establishing this esteemed institution, serving as a hub of knowledge and educational excellence, housing valuable Quranic artifacts and manuscripts, as well as collections showcasing the contributions of distinguished Quranic reciters throughout history.
This occurred during the scholars' visit, hosted by His Highness the President of the State, as part of the Ramadan programme organised by the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments. They were warmly welcomed by Khalifa Musabeh bin Ahmed Al Teneiji, Chairman of the Academy, and Abdullah Khalaf Al Hosani, the Secretary-General, alongside other department heads.
Al Tunaiji expressed his appreciation for the UAE's significant efforts in promoting the intellectual, cultural, and humanitarian aspects of Islam. He guided the guests through the academy, highlighting its three main pillars: the Global Sharjah Electronic Quran Center, the Studies and Research department, and the Quranic Museums, which showcase the Quran's history, rare manuscripts, Quranic sciences, and the scientific miracles within the Quran.
The scholars were impressed by the academy's role, preserving and disseminating Quranic knowledge through the ages. They expressed gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammed Al Qasimi for his visionary leadership in establishing this esteemed institution, which stands as a global beacon of Quranic scholarship and heritage.
