Sharjah 24: Dr. Engineer Khalifa Musabah Al Tunaiji, Chairman of the Holy Quran Academy in Sharjah, and Dr. Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments (GAIAE), discussed enhancing joint cooperation and exchanging experiences and studies in areas related to the Holy Quran and its sciences.
This came during the visit of GAIAE’s chairman, accompanied by Mohammed Saeed Al-Neyadi, Director-General of the Authority, to the Holy Quran Aceademy where they were received by Abdullah Khalaf Al Hosani, Secretary-General of the Academy, and a number of department directors and heads of departments.
Welcoming his guests, Al-Tunaiji stressed the importance of strengthening joint cooperation between the Academy and the Authority, to achieve integration and unify visions that consolidate human values in society, praising the great efforts made by the GAIAE in highlighting the civilisational and humanitarian role of our Islamic religion, consolidating the values of tolerance, spreading Islamic knowledge and culture, and developing human values.
Dr. Al Darei stressed the keenness of the Authority to strengthen partnership and cooperation with the Holy Quran Academy through the exchange of experiences, programmes, studies and constructive communication that contribute to establishing the public interest of the United Arab Emirates, and unifying development visions and ideas, in order to achieve the goals of both sides, thanking His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his support and His Highness’s patronage of the Academy - the leading global scientific edifice in the service of the Holy Quran and its sciences.
Al Tunaiji accompanied Dr. Al Darei to the various sections of the Academy, and briefed him on its existing scientific and research projects as well as other issues associated with the Academy’s role and mission.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Al Darei expressed his thanks and appreciation to those in charge of managing the Academy, for the generous hospitality and warm reception, and the two sides exchanged souvenirs.
