Sharjah 24: The Human Rights Committee at the Sharjah Police General Command organised a celebration of International Women’s Day in the Sustainability Hall.
This came in the presence of His Excellency Brigadier General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, Colonel Dr. Basem Hassan Al Naqbi, Deputy Head of the Human Rights Team at the Sharjah Police General Command, Dr. Moza Al Shehhi, Director of the Family Guidance Department in the Family Development Department and its branches, Major Khalil Saleh Al Hammadi, Member of the Human Rights Team at the Sharjah Police General Command, and Yusra Ghuloum Al Salari from the Community Police Department, along with female police officers and individuals.
On this occasion, His Excellency the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police stressed the importance of the role of women working in the police and security forces who are at the forefront of protecting the security of society, preserving its gains and achievements, and defending its capabilities.
He pointed out that Sharjah Police, based on its belief in the ability of women to engage in police work, opened the door several decades ago for the daughters of the nation to engage in the process of police work, as female employees of the Sharjah Police proved their competence and excellence in many areas of police work, and advanced in various ranks and leadership positions as a result of their giving and their keenness to advance their capabilities and academic qualifications in all fields and specialisations.
He extended his greetings and appreciation to them, expressing his hope to all females of the Sharjah Police General Command for further success, excellence and professional advancement.
The celebration included a dialogue session in which Major Khalil Saleh Al Hammadi spoke about women between the past and the present, while Dr. Moza Al Shehhi spoke about the role of the Family Development Department and its branches in supporting women, and for her part, Yusra Ghuloum Al Salari spoke about the role of Sharjah Police in empowering women in leadership positions.
His Excellency the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police honoured the participants in making this event a success, urging them to continue giving and succeeding.
