Sharjah 24: The Board of Directors of the Sharjah Directorate of Public Works (SDPW) met yesterday, Saturday, to examine the directorate's future goals and strategies, as well as to identify future paths that would contribute to its success and growth. Board members and executives from various sectors as well as Engineer Ali Saeed Sultan Mohammed bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Directorate of Public Works (DPW), attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the directorate's overall performance from the previous period was reviewed, and reports were provided on variables influencing overall performance, prospects for growth, and improving the urban and infrastructure sectors. Infrastructure projects and other crucial projects for the development of the emirate were among the ongoing initiatives and progress reports that the directorate evaluated.

Several critical topics and difficulties confronting the directorate were examined, including new initiatives, particularly those involving green buildings, boosting service quality, creating infrastructure, and improving customer relations.

The need to incorporate innovation and technology into the department's operations, as well as establish new approaches to increase productivity and efficiency, was emphasised.

A follow-up session for the Board of Directors was organised to monitor progress and carry out decisions reached during the meeting.
