Sharjah24: Sharjah Police took part in the 3rd edition of the Military Police Exhibition for Drug and Cybercrime Combat 2024, which was opened last Monday by Major General Yousuf Al Hallami, Commander of the Land Forces. Dr. Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, the Head of Cyber Security for the UAE Government, was present at the event, along with senior officers from the Ministry of Defence and security authorities in the country. The exhibition is scheduled to run until March 5th.
The exhibition, put together by the Ministry of Defence through the Military Police Command, is designed to educate the public about the risks of drug abuse, ways to prevent it, and to enhance understanding of cybercrime while encouraging digital citizenship.
During the exhibition, Sharjah Police's platform "Be Aware" featured various six interactive stations.
Captain Mohammed Ahmed Al Khumairi from the Investigations and Criminal Investigations Department of Sharjah Police highlighted the General Command's commitment to engaging in different security events and exhibitions held in the UAE. The goal is to educate community members and protect them from drug abuse and cybercrimes. He praised the Ministry of Defence and the Military Police Command for arranging the exhibition and their work in coordinating security and police efforts to raise awareness among different sectors of society.
