Sharjah24: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, President of the University of Khorfakkan, held a meeting on Monday morning with a delegation from the University of Exeter. The delegation, led by Dr. Lisa Roberts, the University President, was welcomed by His Highness at the University of Khorfakkan.
During the meeting's outset, His Highness expressed his appreciation for the strong ties and substantial collaboration in various scientific and educational domains between the University of Exeter and the Emirate of Sharjah.
Discussions encompassed various topics such as joint plans, curricula, and the establishment of specialised research centres and institutes in marine sciences. The meeting also delved into potential areas for collaboration in advancing education and providing teacher training to ensure optimal educational outcomes, aligning with the emirate's strategy to bolster education and enhance the educational process.

His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, was briefed on the plans for the upcoming Marine Research Centre, a collaborative effort with the University of Exeter, designed to incorporate cutting-edge technologies and advanced educational facilities in the maritime field.
Gifts and commemorative shields were exchanged between His Highness and the President of the University of Exeter, followed by group photos, with best wishes extended for their success and prosperity.
