Sharjah 24: The Financial, Economic and Industrial Affairs Committee of Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) held a meeting to discuss points to be raised on the policy of Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA), during the next session.
A number of key issues related to stimulating economic growth and enhancing tourism sectors in the Emirate were reviewed, in addition to addressing the results of the committee’s recent visit to SCTDA, where it was informed of the authority’s efforts to stimulate tourism by conducting events throughout the year.
The meeting, which was held at SCC headquarters, was attended by Rashid Abdullah bin Howaiden, Chairman of the Committee; members of the Committee, Fatima Khalifa Al Mukarrab, Committee Rapporteu; Amer Mohammed Al Zarouni; Abdullah Tarish Al Ketbi; Nabil Bin Butti Al Muhairi; Tariq Murad Mirza Al Belushi; and Mohammed Abdullah Al Belushi, in addition to Halima Al Owais, Vice-Chairperson of SCC; and from the General Secretariat of the council, Amna Basalib, Secretary of the Committee.
During the meeting, the Financial, Economic and Industrial Affairs Committee discussed many important issues related to the role of SCTDA in enhancing its contribution to the local economy and developing tourism in Sharjah.
Important topics were also reviewed, including projects to establish hotels, stimulate investments, and enhance tourism infrastructure.
