Sharjah 24: Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC), affirmed the Council’s commitment to working in accordance with the approach and values established by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for the best interest of the nation, citizens, and residents of Sharjah.
The chairman pointed out the importance of continuing to apply the principles of Shura in the work of the Council, which is essential for achieving balance in decision-making and achieving sustainable development, stressing that the Council will remain committed to the wise directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah in his quest to achieve further progress and prosperity for the Emirate of Sharjah and its people. 

This came during Al Nuaimi’s chairmanship of the third meeting of SCC Bureau for the first regular session of the eleventh legislative term, which was held, on Wednesday, at the Council’s headquarters in Sharjah.

During the meeting, SCC work was reviewed, and members submitted proposals that would support the work of Sharjah Government, in addition to the parliamentary questions submitted by them. 

The importance of the Council’s role in formulating policies and legislation that serve the interests of citizens and residents in the region was emphasised. 

The Council's Bureau stressed the need to focus on economic, commercial and tourism issues during the first regular session of the eleventh legislative term.

The Bureau also discussed its views on all the general topics that will be discussed, with a focus on the policy of the Sharjah Tourism and Commerce Development Authority and its role in promoting investment, stimulating economic growth in the tourism sector, and stimulating the growth of related sectors.
