Camel Racing Club, Sharjah Police discuss boosting cooperation

Sharjah24: Matar Ali bin Hweidan Al Kutbi, Chairman of Sharjah Camel Racing Club, received Colonel Mohammed Saif Al Taniji from the Special Tasks Department of the Sharjah Police at the club's headquarters on Thursday, February 15th, to enhance mutual cooperation.
At the beginning of the meeting, Matar Ali bin Hweidan Al Kutbi emphasized the Sharjah Police's commitment to enhancing its community role through strategic partnerships with various entities and institutions in the Emirate of Sharjah. He commended the efforts of the Special Tasks Department of the Sharjah Police in enhancing the security quality of life for the community members and appreciated the continuity of this cooperation and the outstanding services that enhance the quality of life in the Emirate of Sharjah.

Colonel Mohammed Al Taniji praised the efforts of club in preserving the rich Arab heritage of the United Arab Emirates and marking its values. He also acknowledged the significant support provided by the club to camels owners through organizing festivals and races that greatly benefit this kind of sport in the country.

During the meeting, the security plans of the Sharjah Police for Al Dhaid racecourse during festival days and races were discussed. The club was requested to have a permanent police patrol on the racecourse premises. Additionally, mechanisms for coordination between the club and the Sharjah Police were discussed to minimize problems that may occur during race days and to organize the movement of spectators during festivals and races.
