Sharjah 24: Mona Abdelkareem Al Yafei, Director of SCHS, and Dr. Saif Salim Al Qaydi, Chancellor of the University of Kalba, signed a memorandum of understanding, on Wednesday, to enhance and strengthen cooperation between the two parties and achieve common goals in accordance with best international practices.
Under the memorandum, both parties agree to encourage mutual visits by graduate students and staff for training, experience exchange, delivering lectures, conducting joint research, or participating in conferences hosted by both parties, thus contributing to the development of both parties' workforce efficiency.

Both sides agree to encourage students and staff to volunteer and participate in the community.

Dr. Saif Al Qaydi expressed his perspective on the cooperation memorandum, saying, "Regarding the cooperation between the city and the university, we are not initiating new work, but rather continuing the great work undertaken by the government of Sharjah under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and following the guidance of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, and the directives of Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Director General of SCHS."

Al Yafei emphasised that signing the memorandum of understanding with the University of Kalba will open up new avenues for development and cooperation, allowing both parties to exchange experiences, provide support, and contribute to greater community awareness of the issues and rights of people with disabilities in a variety of academic and social fields.
