Sharjah24: The Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation (SSEF) has received the Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd Award for Best Charitable Performance in the Arab World, marking its third edition. This recognition highlights the foundation's achievements in establishing administrative and strategic standards that indicate performance evaluation in multiple areas, in accordance with global best practices in charitable and humanitarian efforts.
This award highlights the vital role that charitable organisations play in fostering excellence within the sector across the Arab world.

Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services (SCHS), extended her congratulations to the foundation for this significant achievement. She emphasised that this accomplishment aligns with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, who places a high priority on the welfare of orphans in Sharjah and is dedicated to fostering human development and investing in a brighter future for everyone.

Sheikha Jameela Al Qasimi highlighted that this dedication is reflected in the extensive support offered to orphans, which exceeds merely addressing their material and emotional requirements, aiming instead to empower them for sustainable, holistic development.

Mona bint Hadda Al Suwaidi, SSEF Director-General, conveyed her appreciation to the award committee, recognising their confidence and proficiency. She emphasised that receiving this award in the large institutions category underscores the foundation’s dedication to maintaining high administrative standards and implementing strategic. This achievement, she stated, reflects the foundation’s dedication to its mission of sustainable empowerment for orphans and their families.

She added that the foundation aims to enhance institutional performance by implementing innovative practices that consistently improve humanitarian services for families of orphans. 

Al Suwaidi emphasised that the award strengthens the foundation's credibility locally and regionally, fosters public trust, and promotes transparency and efficiency. It also enables valuable knowledge exchange with regional institutions, supporting the development of innovative humanitarian projects for orphan families. The award reflects the foundation's commitment to high administrative and strategic standards, highlighting its role in promoting excellence within the Arab charitable sector.

The award ceremony took place in Egypt, hosted by the Minister of Social Solidarity. Notable attendees included Dr. Eissa bin Hassan Al-Ansari, Secretary General of the Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd Foundation for Human Development, alongside the Director General of the Arab Administrative Development Organisation.

Sharjah Social Empowerment Foundation has been recognised as a winner in the large institutions category, chosen from a competitive field of 300 charitable organisations.

The inaugural award of its kind in the Arab world seeks to enhance institutional performance within the charitable and humanitarian sector. Organisations involved are dedicated to fulfilling the award’s criteria to attain exceptional performance and excellence in humanitarian efforts. The criteria for evaluation include leadership, quality of service, satisfaction of beneficiaries, development of resources, management of projects, and various other performance-related indicators.

The purpose of the award is to elevate the quality of charitable organisations throughout the Arab world by encouraging excellence in institutional performance and embracing innovative practices. The initiative aims to enhance humanitarian services by promoting competition and recognising certified institutions that meet scientific and objective standards.
