Sharjah 24: Mona Abdul Karim Al Yafei, Director General of Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services, announced the city’s readiness to organise the international scientific conference “Theory and Practice in Adapted Physical Education (APE)” in a scientific partnership with California State University - Chico and the Sharjah Education Academy to shed light on sports and physical activities designated for persons with disabilities (especially those with intellectual disabilities, people with autism spectrum disorder, and people with severe and multiple disabilities) on March 6-7.
Al Yafei added to “Sharjah 24” that the conference aims to develop the programmes and services rendered by highlighting them, providing new knowledge, exchanging distinguished experiences about modified physical education, raising the level of awareness about the latest developments and modern practices in the field of physical education, and improving the quality of life for people with disabilities and their families, especially those with intellectual disabilities, those with autism spectrum disorder, and those with severe and multiple disabilities, with the participation of many Arab and foreign countries.
She thanked the partners, supporters and media professionals for their constant support, wishing success to all participants in the activities of the the international scientific conference “Theory and Practice in Adapted Physical Education (APE)”.
