Ammar Ali Al Muhairi, Director of the Legal Affairs Department in Al Hamriyah Municipality, pointed out that the Municipal Control and Inspection Department, as part of “Clean Environment... Better Life,” visited and distributed white roses and leaflets to visitors in various sites.
Al Muhairi pointed out that the campaign had successfully achieved all its objectives, during which bags designated for waste disposal were distributed. The aim of this campaign was to highlight the importance of separating waste for recycling to achieve environmental sustainability, and to raise the level of environmental awareness among visitors to the region.
Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriyah Municipality, said that “Clean Environment... Better Life” came within the framework of enhancing indicators of environmental awareness among visitors of the targeted wild areas, and to reach the largest possible number of audiences, noting that the municipality is keen to prevent negative impacts related to the environment, public health, sustainability, and distortion of the aesthetic view in the Al Hamriyah area.
Al Shamsi explained that the municipality is working to establish many general determinants and measures in cooperation with the Municipal Council of the Al Hamriyah region to address negative aspects, enhance indicators of environmental awareness among visitors, and install information signs in wild areas, in order to ensure that visitors enjoy the aesthetics and atmosphere of the picturesque natural and marine area, and preserve its vital components.
