Sharjah 24: The Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators has successfully concluded its comprehensive project, "Al Furjan Theatre," as part of the Rubu’ Qarn Theatre and Performing Arts 2023.
The event, held from December 8 to 10 in Al Zahia neighbourhood at City Centre Al Zahia, featured a unique programme showcasing creative performances across various theatrical disciplines. These presentations were delivered by promising talents representing diverse neighbourhoods, cities, and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah, along with participants from affiliated institutions such as Sharjah Children, Sharjah Youth, Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah and Sharjah Capability Development.

Over a captivating winter ambiance spanning three days, the audience, including visitors to Zahia City Centre, enjoyed watching shows presented by outstanding members of the Rubu’ Qarn institutions. Participating groups from different regions of the emirate and various age groups contributed to embodying the theme of a theater-loving family. The performances included meaningful content aimed at fostering values of collaboration, teamwork, tolerance, and sustainability among participants and the wider community.

Dr. Adnan Saloum, a theatrical arts expert at the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation, talked about Al Furjan Theatre event by Rubu’ Qarn Foundation. He said, "Al Furjan Theatre event is the result of a big project we started this year called Al Furjan Theatre. The event focuses on everyone, including kids, girls, young people, and others from different places in Sharjah. Our goal is to help them grow in their thinking, skills, and feelings. We also want to gather the things we learned from the project's activities that were all about theatre and performance arts using creative ideas.”

Six out of the 13 qualified shows competed in the finals of the "Al Furjan Theatre" project. "The Ant and Sustainability" secured the gold award, "The Crack" received the silver award, and "Hello Horror" claimed the bronze award.
