Sharjah24: With the announcement of the "Volunteer Hours Record Award" as part of its eleventh edition, the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work (SAVW) provides volunteers a chance to demonstrate their hard work and dedication to community service by competing for this prestigious honour.
The deadline for submissions is January 15, 2024. The award's website, Sva.shj.ae, accepts applications from individuals, families, non-profit organisations, and volunteer groups.
Judges evaluate nominations for the "Volunteer Hours Record Award" based on the total amount of time individuals dedicate to various types of volunteer work.
The Executive Director of the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work, Fatima Musa Al Balushi, stressed that the award shows dedication to promoting and recognising volunteer work in helping the community, drawing attention to the effect and longevity of volunteering.
