Sharjah 24: The Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club’s first team departed for Cairo, Egypt, on Friday, August 8, to kick off a preparatory training camp that runs until August 24. The camp is part of the team’s build-up for the upcoming 2025/2026 football season.

Friendly matches planned

During the camp, the Al Hamriyah team is scheduled to play three friendly matches. These games aim to enhance the squad’s technical and physical preparedness and provide an opportunity to evaluate player performance ahead of the new season.

Club’s goals and expectations

Rashid Al Shamsi, Board Member and Head of the First Team and Age Groups Committee, emphasised that the primary goal of the camp is to ensure the team reaches peak readiness and performs at a level that reflects the ambitions of the club and its supporters.

Coach highlights tactical preparation

Team coach Zoran Popovic of Serbia stated that the camp is a crucial milestone in the season’s preparations. He noted that the technical staff is focused on building team cohesion, enhancing tactical awareness, and ensuring all players are ready across different levels for the challenges of the new season.
