Sharjah 24: During the "Arabic Lexicography Forum," hosted by the "King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language," the "Arabic Language Academy (ALA) in Sharjah discussed the role of the "Historical Dictionary" in enhancing linguistic studies in a scientific seminar titled "The Historical Dictionary: From Concept to Implementation."
Dr Mohammed Safi Al Mosteghanemi, General Secretary of the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah and Executive Director of the Historical Dictionary Project for the Arabic Language, presented an update on the academy's accomplishments in the field of linguistics and Arabic lexicography.
Recent issues of the "Journal of the Arabic Language Academy in Sharjah" and the 36 volumes of the "Historical Dictionary of the Arabic Language" that have already been completed were featured at the Riyadh International Book Fair 2023.
The academy's agenda included meetings with representatives from the "Arabic Language Academy in Mecca" and the "Arabic Language Academy on the World Wide Web," where they discussed common goals related to enhancing the role of the Arabic language regionally and globally, emphasising its importance in preserving Arab and Islamic culture.
