Sharjah24: An Emirate of Sharjah cultural and academic team visited Kazakhstan's "Al-Farabi National University" to explore prospects for academic and cultural collaboration between the Arabic Language Academy (ALA) in Sharjah and the university's "Department of Oriental Studies."
The delegation, which comprised various academic members and students, was welcomed by Dr Zhanseit Tuimbayev, President of Al-Farabi National University.

Among the delegation members were Dr Mohamed Safi Al Mosteghanemi, Secretary-General of Sharjah's Arabic Language Academy, and Dr Mohammed Kamil Al Muaini, Chairman of the International Institute for Cultural Diplomacy.

The visit is part of the Arabic Language Academy's efforts to support Arabic language instruction at Kazakhstani institutions and language centres, as well as to look into the possibility of translating manuscripts and sharing educational experiences.

There will also be discussions about student visits to Sharjah to learn about Arab and Emirati culture, as well as the Emirate's and the Arabic Language Academy's efforts to launch the "Historical Dictionary of the Arabic Language" project and its significance in enhancing cultural and civilizational communication among peoples and facilitating Arabic language education for non-native speakers.

Dr Al-Mustaghani stressed the significance of visiting Kazakhstan's Al-Farabi National University and becoming familiar with its vast library and departments, particularly the "Department of Eastern Studies" and the "International Institute for Cultural Diplomacy." He stated that these trips and meetings are part of Sharjah's cultural and civilizational agenda, which is founded on the wise vision of Sharjah's ruler, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, a member of the Supreme Council.
