Sharjah24: There was a large turnout of 24 organisations, totaling 461 competitors, during the ninth annual Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) Cultural Race.
The event is in keeping with His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi's directions to foster civic participation and advance cultural and athletic pursuits.
The success of this edition shows that people support developing young people's skills across the country.
Sharjah Sports Council President Isa Hilal Al Hazami was pleased with the race's enthusiastic reception. He emphasised helping youth develop cultural and sporting abilities and creating an aware and innovative generation. According to His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the race promotes community engagement and cultural and sports excellence among youth.
The event's wide variety of contests and activities is a reflection of the race's goal of promoting cultural and athletic ideals among young people. A large number of Emiratis took part in the competitions evaluated by the evaluation and coordination committee, demonstrating dedication to the goals set forth by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah.
At a ceremony in early September, the awardees will be recognised for their contributions to fostering youth leadership and cultural and athletic development.
