Sharjah 24: To mark Emirati Women’s Day on August 28th, Sharjah Ladies Club will be joining the nation in celebrating the remarkable accomplishments of Emirati women and the role they have played in shaping the region.
Speaking about this momentous occasion, Director General of Sharjah Ladies Club, Khawla Al Serkal, said she was a proud ‘daughter of the UAE’ and paid tribute to our visionary leaders. With their guidance, she said, the UAE has created an environment in which women can thrive and contribute meaningfully to society.

She went on to say: “Emirati Women’s Day is a chance to reflect on the achievements of our women. We owe our success to the unwavering and forward-thinking support of our leaders, who have paved the way for us over the years. Special mention must be given to Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of the Ruler of Sharjah, Chairperson of Sharjah Ladies Club, who has been our guiding light since 1982. Her vision for Sharjah Ladies Club has helped foster an environment that meets the needs of the women and supports their personal growth.”

She added: “This year, Sharjah Ladies Club has embraced the UAE’s theme of ‘the year of sustainability’ and is actively promoting this across all our sites. Through a series of engaging and educational events, the Club aims to highlight the important role women play in promoting sustainability and greener ways of living. Our ultimate goal is to raise awareness of the importance of a sustainable future for the generations to come, with products and services that cater to women, children, senior citizens and everyone who wants to make a difference to our planet.”
