The Camp targets children; girls from 3 to 16 years old, and boys from 3 to 9 years old.
In this regard, Her Excellency Khawla Al Serkal, Director General of the Sharjah Ladies Club said: “Winter Wonderland Camp comes within the framework of the seasonal events and initiatives organized by the Club which also include the Spring Adventure Camp and the Mushmis Summer Camp, targeting all children; girls and boys, with the aim of enriching their time and investing it in qualitative activities and events designed to benefit and entertain them during the period of school vacations. This contributes to strengthening the club's mission as a supporter of women in various aspects and as an institution that takes care of women and children, through the various services provided by the club facilities, as well as exhibitions, events and camps throughout the year".
Three camps in Sharjah City
The Head of Operations, Ala Al Shanasi, said: "The Club’s headquarters embraces the Winter Wonderland Camp, which is divided into 3 sub-camps based on the age group, namely; Young Talents Camp, Arts and Sports Camp and Teen girls Camp. Two options are available for the camp: First option; 5-day events from Sunday to Thursday over the first week of December, and the second option takes place over 4 days from Monday to Thursday during the second week. The camp events take place from 9 am to 6 pm.
She also added: A number of Club’s facilities take part in the organization of the Camp activities such as the Collage Talent Center and the Sports Complex. The activities of the branches are also co-organized by a number of facilities, namely the Talents Center Ibda’, the Joori Beauty Center, the Fitness Center, the Olympic Pool, the Marasi Restaurant and the Tala Program.
The "Young Talents Camp" targets the children's category of age group from 3 to 5 years old, including a number of events and programs, such as crafts and arts, Olympic Games, The Young Inspector, accessories crafting, fun play, snow magic and face painting.
The “Arts and Sports Camp” targets the children's category of age group 5 to 10 years old. It includes a number of arts and sports events such as: swimming, ice skating, tennis, volleyball, hand crafts, painting and coloring, hip-hop cardio, pottery making, and cooking classes.
Finally, the “Teen Girls Camp” targets girls from 11 to 16 years old, and they will enjoy a range of events and activities including fitness classes, skincare sessions, cooking classes, pottery making and handcraft workshops, as well as swimming courses and ice skating.
The Club offers a 20% discount on the participation fees for female members, and a 10% discount in case of registering the second child in the activities of the Camp at the Club's headquarters.
Three weeks of fun and thrill in the Eastern Region.
Al Shanasi noted that kids and girls are enjoying interesting events at the Winter Wonderland Camp in the branches of the club in Khorfakkan, Diba al Hisn, Kalba and Wadi al Helo, which began as of last Monday, dated December 12th and will continue until December 30th over a three-week period of excitement, competition and thrill for girls from 4 to 16 years old and for boys from 4 to 8 years old. The Camp's activities include various indoor and outdoor workshops in cooperation with Sharjah Environment and Protected Areas Authority in addition to cooking workshops, a number of water and creative events and interactive competitions which will be organized and supervised by branch facilities represented by the Collage Talent Center and Marasi Restaurant, Fitness Center and the Olympic Pool. The Camp also includes games, fun and sports competitions such as zumba, relaxation exercises, colorful snowballs and colorful Hula hoops game in addition to basketball games and water sports competitions including yoga, fre
e swimming, and learning diving skills.
Various art workshops will also be held for making and decorating candles, Winter Flowers Workshop, Happy Snowman Workshop, painting Safari, fizzy balls, making bracelets, 3D roses, Happy Penguins Village as well as fun day , kids Cinema, Hello Winter, Happiness Day, film screening, Open Day, Welcome Weekend and coordination methods of dining table.
Special Events for Kids in the Central Region
However, in the Central Region, the Club's branches in Al Dhaid, Al Hamriyah, Al Madam and Al Bataeh are welcoming children participating in the Camp from December 12th to December 29th, through various events and activities that will be held daily from 9 am to 1 pm, targeting girls from 4 to 16 years old and boys from 6 to 8 years old.
Marasi Restaurant holds a range of sessions and workshops for participants in cooking, snack and fast meal cooking, as well as events such as cinema shows, Hello Winter and Hello Weekend, Fun Day, Happy Day, and dining table Coordination, while Ibda’ Talent Center will organize a group of workshops, including My Candle, Winter Rose, Painting Safari, fizzy balls, sun hat painting, bracelets making…etc.
The Fitness Center ‘Iiyaqah’ also offers a series of fun sports and daily recreational shows such as snow fun, zumba, stretching exercises, snowball making, colorful Hula hoops game and rope jumping exercises.
In the evening, various water events are held in the Olympic Pool in the fields of swimming, diving, basketball, water competitions, Aqua Aerobic exercises, yoga and dancing.
